We are hiring a skilled Facility Building Engineer / Utility Tech II!
This is a full-time 1099 position for an experienced maintenance technician with strong HVAC, plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting skills. Steady work, consistent schedule, and a wide variety of technical tasks.
Job Responsibilities
General Maintenance
Lamp replacement, drywall patching, touch-up painting
Ceiling tile replacement, basic carpentry
Minor plumbing repairs
Assembly of furniture, fixtures, and shelving
HVAC Support
Filter changes and routine HVAC PMs
Troubleshooting pumps, agitators, belts, and water circulation systems
Electrical & Plumbing
Basic electrical work (switches, receptacles)
Advanced troubleshooting and repair of electrical and plumbing systems
Preventive Maintenance
Inspections/repairs on gas and electric equipment
Work on compressed air systems
Diagnose failures to prevent downtime
Fire & Safety
Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers
Track expiration dates and compliance measures
Equipment Operation
Forklift certified (or willing to certify)
Operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, and scaffolding
Assist with pallet jacks and material-handling tools
Cleaning & Waste Systems
Focused cleaning of ducts, storage areas, overhead netting
Maintain balers, compactors, and exterior trash equipment
Documentation
Use CMMS for work orders, logs, and material tracking
Submit requisitions for parts/materials
Requirements
3–5+ years of facility maintenance or building engineering experience
Strong HVAC, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and safely
Reliable transportation
Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Pay & Schedule
$28/hour
1099 contractor
Full-time hours (Mon–Fri or similar schedule)
