Location: Phoenix, Arizona
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Upholstery Trimmer to join our custom automotive shop in Phoenix. This position offers competitive pay, steady work, and the opportunity to be part of a team that builds high-end custom interiors for classic American cars.
Position Overview:
The Automotive Upholstery Trimmer will be responsible for fabricating, fitting, and installing custom automotive interiors. You’ll work on everything from door panels, consoles and seats to headliners and carpets—helping transform vehicles into show-quality builds. Stereo knowledge, lighting, plexiglass and fiberglass is all a plus.
Responsibilities Include:
Measuring, cutting, and sewing upholstery materials (leather, vinyl, fabric, foam, etc.)
Installing and fitting seat covers, headliners, door panels, and carpet kits
Performing custom pattern work and trimming to OEM or custom specifications
Removing and reinstalling interior components
Working with adhesives, fasteners, and hand tools to achieve high-quality results
Collaborating with designers and builders to meet project requirements and deadlines
Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in automotive upholstery or related field preferred
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Experience with industrial sewing machines and pattern-making is a plus
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work full time on-site in Phoenix
Compensation & Benefits:
