Job Summary:
As a Lead Metal Stud Framer, you will lead a crew of framers in the layout, installation, and construction of metal stud framing systems for commercial and residential buildings. You will work closely with foremen, superintendents, and project managers, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a crew of framers, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings
Measure, cut, and install metal studs for walls, partitions, ceilings, and exterior facades
Coordinate material deliveries and ensure accurate quantities are on-site
Perform quality checks on all work performed by the crew to ensure it meets specifications
Collaborate with other trades on-site and adjust framing as needed for MEP installations
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Train and mentor less experienced framers
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in metal stud framing
Strong understanding of blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings
Ability to lead and motivate a team, managing workflow and quality
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
