Local Grading, Paving and Site Utilities Company located in Peoria, AZ seeking a motivated individual with 3-5 years' experience in a Foreman role in Public and Private Works.
EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with the following: Drainage and storm water management, utility work, site grading, digging and removal of earth, ledge and/or paving materials, utility installation, foundations, maintain budgets and keep to a timeline, supervision of a crew, ensuring overall productivity, quality and safety of a project. Ability to train new workers is a plus. This is a working foreman position.
SKILLS:
In addition to the experience listed above, candidate should have strong leadership skills and be comfortable communicating with sub-contractors, clients, and management. Great organizational skills are also a plus as foreman will be responsible for filling out and keeping track of daily foreman logs, job sheets, and timecards.
REQUIREMENTS:
The operating foreman must be able to read blueprints, shoot grades, layout work, conduct toolbox safety meeting each morning, set up the work, and manage the equipment operators and laborers, accurately and productively.
Applicant must be able to safely and efficiently run heavy equipment, excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, skid steers etc. Need to be capable of executing Project Manager's directives in running commercial site work projects. Including installation of water, sewer and storm pipe installation, road base & roadway installation, utility work, fine grading, foundation prep, curb installation, etc.
Must be willing to work overtime and some Saturday's, if needed. Be responsible for fueling, care & routine maintenance of equipment. Always ensure a safe work environment
Valid AZ Driver’s license with clean record (Class A or B Commercial license a plus but not required), ability to pass a drug test.
