ACH Operations Specialist IIITempe, AZ (100% Remote)Compensation: $20/hour1-3 Month Contract: W2 Consultants OnlyResponsibilities:
- Work directly on all ACH/Electronic Banking Operations staff including staff training, identification of processing bottlenecks, and backup coverage on all department functions and assignments.
- Apply knowledge of ACH operational functions related to processing entries, batches, and files as an ODFI and RDFI.
- Provide backup on all first and twilight shift duties and assignments, as needed.
- Ensure that all employees' work assignments are distributed equitably to meet established processing deadlines.
- Ensure that all department work products are completed in an accurate and timely manner through the periodic auditing of functional assignments.
- Work direct customer service duties and responsibilities to ensure timely, professional, and accurate communication with the bank's commercial clients.
- Inform management of any processing delays or customer complaints in a factual and timely fashion.
- Provide detailed reporting of fraudulent and/or suspicious activity to management and file Questionable Activity Reports, per Bank Policy.
- Provide timely problem management reporting as well as overall bank notifications of ACH processing delays which impact departments outside ACH/Electronic Banking.
- Provide ongoing functional and system training to staff as they are assigned new duties within the team.
- Assist in the performance appraisal process by identifying and informing management of employee performance problems as they occur.
- Apply knowledge of ACH risk and compliance principles in daily job duties and interactions.
- Provide preliminary technical support and problem solving for issues related to the computer operation, common system applications, and ACH Operator issues, as they occur.
- Seek management's assistance and guidance, as needed.
