In this role you will work with Release and Deployment Management leadership and team to enhance standards around Release Management. Responsibilities include maintaining project schedules, timelines, and queueing across assigned resources for projects. Triage escalations from projects based on risk to project, compliance, or security – report any irregularities immediately. Defining and leading the creation of dashboards and hosting weekly stand ups for inflight releases. Proactive escalations, self-identified risks, areas to watch, resource hot/cold spots, release conflicts that need leadership attention. Work with the CI/CD teams to ensure consolidation and automation as part of key DevOps – CI/CD initiative. Manage relationships and positively influence the various teams involved to ensure full engagement.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Work with Release and Deployment Management leadership and team to enhance standards around Release Management
  • Define and lead creation of dashboards and host weekly stand up
  • Releases in flight and resources required for support
  • Executive Leadership – proactive escalations, self-identified risks, areas to watch, resource hot/cold spots, release conflicts that could impact Users, Systems, Business that need leadership attention (aggregated view)
  • Ensure timely identification and remediation of any risks related to a release
  • Work with Development, Test and Release teams to automate where ever possible
  • Maintain project schedules, timelines, and queueing across assigned resources for projects
  • Ensure appropriate billing (charge back/Show back is being processed for initiatives)
  • Triage escalations from projects you are overseeing based on risk to project, compliance, or security – report any irregularities immediately
  • Manage relationships and positively influence the various teams involved to ensure full engagement
  • Facilitate the resolution of any release roadblocks
  • Review Release Plans, Release Checkpoints, and Project Requirements
  • Manage Release Planning and automation tasks
  • Work with the CI/CD teams to ensure consolidation and automation as part of key DevOps – CI/CD initiative • Communicate, Communicate, Communicate
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, information technology, or any engineering field, or equivalent experience
  • Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT) framework practitioner or certification a plus
  • 8+ years’ experience leading Release, Change, Development, and/or Program Management for DevOps 8+ years’ experience with Agile Methodologies, ITIL/COBIT
  • Experience in the banking or finance industries preferred

  • Experience with coordination and facilitation of release management processes and procedures
  • Understanding of the solution delivery lifecycle and relationship to release management
  • Solid understanding of DevOps, Agile, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Solid Understanding of newer Release Management and related solutions for DevOps/CI/CD – including but not limited to Jenkins, Maven, OpenShift, Puppet, Docker, CloudBees, Splunk
  • Solid understanding of regulatory compliance directives affecting banking
  • PMP desired or at least equivalent experience in Project/Program management best practices
  • Banking or Financial Services industry is a plus
