Activities Director – Senior Assisted Living
We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and organized Activities Director to join our team at Starfish Care Homes, a premier senior assisted living community in Tucson, AZ. The Activities Director will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a diverse calendar of engaging programs and events that promote the physical, mental, and social well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and lead daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
Coordinate special events, outings, and holiday celebrations
Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages resident participation
Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and families to enhance the quality of life for residents
Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation
Ensure all activities comply with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
Experience in activity planning, recreation therapy, or a related field (senior living experience preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Creativity and enthusiasm for working with older adults
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Bachelor’s degree in recreation, social work, or related field preferred
