GG&G has been successfully designing and manufacturing American Made firearm accessories for 30 years in Tucson. Products are manufactured for military, law enforcement and civilian use. We are seeking an experienced, dependable and energetic Manual Machinist. Opportunity for role transitions and advancements within the company. Compensation: $22-$25 per hour (depending on experience) + benefits after 90 days.

Employment Type: Full Time Day Shift 7:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday

Specific Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Be able to set up and safely operate engine lathes, milling machines and other shop-related equipment.

Be responsible for interpreting blueprints and drawings to ensure proper dimensions/tolerances of a finished product.

Have the ability to solve mathematical shop problems using the 4 basic mathematical operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. As well as understand basic geometry/trigonometry in order to determine the depth of cuts and machining dimensions.

Must be able to calculate and set machine controls to regulate machining factors such as depth of cut and cutter speeds + feeds, and adjust accordingly.

Must demonstrate an understanding of machining theories; sequence of machining operations, machine capabilities/limitations as well as fixturing when necessary.

Possess strong communication skills to convey ideas/problems with the part design or fabrication to other employees.

Inspect and verify conformance of finished workpiece(s) to print specifications using precision measuring instruments.

Experience operating manual machines is required.

Deburr parts using machines such as milling, drilling, grinding and other machines as needed.

Welding experience is favorable but not required.

Perform routine maintenance on machinery, as necessary.

Follow safety protocalls and maintain clean work environment.

General cleaning/organizing of shop floor as necessary.

Further Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

English proficiency (written/verbal) is a must.

Excellent attendance and punctuality is essential.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Work on feet for entire shift.

Ability to assume different roles and grow within the company. Flexibility is key. Ability to change tasks quickly/comfortably.

Must have a mechanical aptitude. Manual dexterity and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks quickly and methodically.

Willingness to learn, problem solve and be pro-active.

Must be energetic, conscientious, courteous and possess excellent communication skills.

Strong organizational skills. Maintain a clean and well organized work space.

Possess a team player mentality, yet able to successfully work independently when necessary.

Possess some mechanical ability and possess strong hand/eye coordination.

Full time employment. Eight-hour day shift- five days a week.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
