Arivaca Boy’s Ranch is an inpatient behavioral health facility for teenage boys (13-18). The boys have various individual struggles including anger management, histories of trauma, substance abuse, attachment and mood disorders, and mental health diagnoses.

The primary responsibility of this position is to live an exemplary life and maintain a safe and caring environment. If accepted you will be living and working with 5-10 teenage boys in a bunkhouse and guiding them through their day at the ranch (staff has separate sleeping arrangements). The schedule is divided into two “rotations” consisting of seven days in the field, followed by seven days off. Ideal job for Tucson residents, many of our employees commute from there are receive free room and board for the duration of their 7-day shift. Pay starts at $150 per day.

You will receive training in:

‣ Arbinger Philosophies and Practice as taught by leading experts

‣ Non-violent crisis intervention

‣ Behavioral and Mental Health Disorder Management

‣ Clinical Documentation

Applicants must be at least 21 years-of-age or older and have a high school graduation certificate or GED. Applicants must be able to pass a drug screen and fingerprint clearance check. Experience working with horses is not required.
