Permanent Shipper / Receiver position available with Construction Company.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am -4pm
Responsibilities include:
- Determine method of shipment
- Schedule distribution of goods
- Schedule transportation conveyances
- Prepare bills of lading, other shipping documents
- Assemble containers and crates
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
- Maintain internal record-keeping system
- Record shortages and reject damaged goods
- Route goods to appropriate storage areas
- Pack goods to be shipped
- Unpack goods received
- Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments
- Oversee loading and unloading of goods
- Backup driver when necessary
- Backup shop staff when necessary
Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of Office programs, mainly Outlook & Word
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on deadlines & urgency
- Excellent punctuality and reliability
- Willing to learn new skills and adapt as needed
- Understanding of safety requirements and record keeping
- Valid Drivers License
