The Windstream team provides innovative software and network solutions to connect people and empower business in a world of infinite possibilities!About This Role: Asa member of theWindstreamCorporate Expenseteam, the AccountantI willsupport the revenue accounting processes, ensuring theaccurateandtimelyrecording of revenue transactions andassistingin the preparation of financial reports. The rolehas oversightand management of revenue and expense reporting to include but not limited to accruals, deferrals, periodictrue ups, write offs, receivables management, paymenttracking,and reclassification based on set or changing businessrules. Candidates mustresidein the Central Time Zone to ensure alignment with team schedule and company operations. What You’ll Do:
Facilitate month-end grid analysis and presentation of financials to Controller.
Collaborate with members of the business dependent onrevexreporting.
Support Staff Manager by receiving and owning delegated projects.
Maintain compliance with balance sheet reconciliation policy.
Prepare month-end journal entries to include adjusting entries when necessary.
Review andsubmitinternal and external audit requests when due.
Assistin problem-solve activities and simplification of recurring processes.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability toestablishand maintain strong relationships across the business. Problem-solving and root cause identification skills.
Strong accounting and MS Excel backgroundrequired.
Ability to examine journal entry application and apply GAAP principles to aid in the mostaccuratefinancial reporting possible given the information relied on.
Data analysis skills to include SQL query creation/modification/simplification. Ability to challenge existingprocedureand create positive change.
Experience withtimelyanalysis/resolution of high-priority issues.
Min Requirements: College degree and 1-3 years professional level experience; or 5+ years professional level related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experiencerequired.
