Description
Manages inventory needs and set up of Distribution Centers for a five-state region by coordinating with customer, VMI and Alliance Operations, Sales, and Purchasing teams.
Collaborates with Purchasing to ensure AECI has sufficient inventory at all distribution centers to meet customer needs while balancing AECI’s financial position.
Manages and assists Distribution Center and Logistics staff to ensure materials are properly stocked and available to customers.
Oversees distribution center operations ensuring warehouses are maintained and inventoried material is protected to minimize the potential for damage or loss.
Directs shipping and stocking of material during emergency situations and assists with orders, change orders, and customer pickups as required.
Directs distribution center managers and supervisors in handling incorrect shipments and/or damaged material to obtain RMAs from vendors for all warehouse material to be returned for replacement credit. Processes claims and adjustments for material not meeting AECI specifications. Ensures credits are received and properly accounted.
Oversees AECI’s delivery fleet (Logistics) ensuring orders are delivered on time.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
