OverviewAs our Sterile Processing Tech at CHI St Vincent Infirmary, you’ll help our team oversee the sterilization and cleaning of medical equipment, instruments or supplies in a sterile processing environment.To be a successful sterile processing technician, you should be meticulous with strong attention to detail. You should have a good working knowledge of a variety of sterilization techniques and be able to work with fragile equipment.CHI St Vincent Infirmary is a 600 bed faith-based, non-profit, acute care facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. Our level II trauma center is a regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, behavioral health, cancer care, neurosciences, and other specialties. Monitor and operate sterilization equipment

Examine supplies meticulously to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized

Test and report any issues or problems with the sterilization equipment

Sterilize, prepare, wrap and organize equipment into instrument trays for use during medical procedures

Prepare and deliver all necessary equipment and instruments for surgeries, examinations, medical procedures and medical carts

Maintain records of sterilization procedures, sterilized items, equipment maintenance and supplies

Qualifications

High School Diploma, or GED Required

Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred
