Our 103,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries.Job Description:The mission of this position is to effectively deliver technology systems and enhancements that enable business objectives of the Abbott Diabetes Care business.The successful candidate will be accountable for the delivery of a large scalable, business critical solution for the ADC commercial space. The call registration system will be used by Global Customer Service. The system manages customer call registration & tracking, troubleshoots customer complaints, provide an interface with the product complaints investigations, and facilitates order warranty product replacements for shipment to customers.The successful candidate in this position must be a trusted business partner and enabler, who demonstrates mastery in all aspects and phases of large scale application development and program management, vendor management, and validated systems implementations. Candidate must have experience working with regulatory systems (Pharma lifecycle preferred).Experience with the salesforce.com ecosystem is preferred; however, strong candidates with equivalent experience and knowledge in Commercial, Digital, or equivalent business systems capacity will be considered.Experience with commercial, back office/CRM initiatives, and digital transformation initiatives is preferred. In addition to possessing a mastery of application delivery, the ability to partner with the business to define a business-technology roadmap that elicits and clearly translates business imperatives into required technology investment roadmaps is an important skillset for this position.Must possess experience delivering through third parties and in an onshore/offshore model.This position requires strong leadership capabilities, an executive presence, and the ability to simultaneously think and act strategically and tactically to balance long-term planning in parallel with flawless execution.Three plus years’ experience with agile/scrum methodologies, DevOps, knowledge of Salesforce Lightning highly preferred.Provides leadership & strategy for a group of IT professionals supporting a major organizational unit responsible for the definition, development, implementation, operation and support of computer-based systems and related processes and tools which provide information for reporting, operations, and decision making.Understands and contributes to organization's vision, goals and strategies. Aligns department priorities appropriately, determines critical success factors, evaluates and pursues initiatives, investments and opportunities based on fit with strategies.Champion change and innovation. Stimulates creativity and innovation in others. Open to new ideas. Supports those who initiate change and take risks. Promotes a Global Perspective.Ensure that IT solutions meets the needs of the business.Negotiate for and secures resources to meet the long range operational demands of the area.Oversee and control department budgets, project capital/RCE expenditures & ROI: develop, monitor and meet expense and recovery plans; continually look for opportunities for cost reductions and cost avoidance.Manage IT investment for the function.Establishes staffing/resource plans, determines appropriate mix of sourcing opportunities (outsourcing, offshoring and hot skills).Responsible for overall Organizational Effectiveness.Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.Participates in setting policies and procedures.Establish and maintain high-quality relationships with all levels across the company and with external partners.Operate within broad goals and objectives.Make strategic decisions that impact division or site. Final decision authority for project budget and project activities. Manage shared services that span multiple virtual teams across the world and cross cultures.
