- MS in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Science, CS or related technical discipline.
- Good understanding of active sensing technologies and computer vision/image processing.
- Experience in 3D reconstruction using passive technologies (monocular SLAM, stereo imaging, etc.).
- Experience designing operational performance tests of for sensor systems.
- Experience with 3D visualization tools Demonstrated ability to clearly document and communicate test findings.
- C, Python, LaTex, Bash, Cmake, Git, Linux Programming concepts: Data filters/pipelines, Multi-threading, GPU programming Communication protocols/networks: UDP/TCP, CAN Open-source libraries: OpenCV, OpenGL, Open3D, CUDA, PCL.
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at the same time with proven success in meeting deadlines.
- Work on cutting-edge sensor technology for automotive perception used in L3-L5 systems.
- Integrate new sensors in unified testing environment to objectively characterize performance and potential.
- Develop new test methods to quantify a sensors/an algorithms performance.
- Analyze and document test data Actively participate in technical discussions and present findings from technical assessments.
- Come up with new ideas for perception solutions and/or product ideas leveraging latest sensor innovation.
- Working knowledge of applied statistics.
- Work with software engineers and machine learning engineers to develop new concepts of how sensor innovation can be used for more effective and safer automated driving functions.
