Description We are seeking a highly organized and personable Medical Front Desk Specialist to join our client, a local Dental office. The ideal candidate should have strong customer service skills, a friendly and warm personality, and exceptional administrative skills. This role is crucial in managing the daily operations of the office, ensuring a smooth and seamless patient experience.Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the practice in a courteous and professional manner.

Schedule and confirm appointments, follow-up visits and manage patient files.

Collect and record patient data, medical history, and billing information accurately.

Answer, screen, and redirect telephone calls; take detailed messages when appropriate.

Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.

Resolve patient issues in accordance with customer service standards, policies and procedures.

Maintain front desk area to be clean and presentable at all times.

Assist in the documentation and maintaining of patient dental records.

Coordinate with dental insurance companies to ensure claims are sent and paid.

Aid dental staff as necessary.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Administration, or related field preferred.

Proven experience as a Front Desk Specialist, Receptionist, or similar role in a medical or dental setting.

Comprehensive knowledge of dental insurance is a must.

Proficient in using medical and office software.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Ability to maintain professionalism and remain calm in a fast-paced work environment.

Knowledge of maintaining confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Ability to multi-task without compromising attention to detail.

Flexibility to work during opening hours, including weekends and evenings.
