Description We are in search of an AR Clerk to join our client's team located in Carlsbad, California. As an AP Clerk, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks such as processing invoices, maintaining financial records, and resolving account discrepancies. This role is within the industry and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Key Responsibilities:
Daily Account Reconciliation: Reconcile daily sales transactions from various sources (POS, e-commerce, wholesale) to ensure accuracy.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Customer Invoicing: Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and timely.
Ensure invoices are properly coded and distributed.
Cash Application: Apply cash receipts to customer accounts accurately and efficiently.
Research and resolve any discrepancies related to cash receipts.
Credit and Collections: Assist with credit checks and customer credit limit evaluations.
Assist with the collections process by contacting customers regarding overdue payments.
Maintain accurate records of all collection activities.
Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances in a professional and timely manner.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Data Entry and Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information in the ERP system.
Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
Month-end Close: Assist with month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
1-2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable preferred.
Strong understanding of accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
