Operations Specialist

Description We are in search of an Operations Specialist to join our team in Carlsbad, California. This role involves coordinating daily logistics activities, communicating with shipment agents, and tracking and monitoring shipments from origin to destination. You will also be responsible for setting up shipments and maintaining efficient communication with agents, carriers, and other stakeholders. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Shipment Manager to streamline and enhance logistics activities Initiate and maintain communication with shipment agents to confirm and verify shipment details Use tracking systems and tools to monitor the progress of shipments and address any complications promptly Organize and manage the setup and dispatch of shipments, including scheduling pickups, arranging transportation, and preparing shipment documentation Frequently make outbound calls to agents, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure all parties are informed and any potential issues are resolved quickly Utilize various skills including ADP - Financial Services, CRM, IBM AS/400, Management System, Microsoft Excel, About Time, Compliance, Customer Service, Documentation, and Office Functions Proactively solve problems and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations.
