Description We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team in the Utilities/Infrastructure industry, based in Castro Valley California. As an Accounting Clerk, your primary focus will be on accounts receivable, and executing financial, administrative, and clerical functions. You will verify and monitor incoming payments, ensuring operation efficiency, as well as validating and posting receipts to secure revenue.Responsibilities:
Manage accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Conduct daily financial transactions, such as verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data.
Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate accounting and posting of all payments.
Resolve clients’ billing discrepancies and issues.
Facilitate payments of invoices by sending reminders and contacting clients.
Prepare, negotiate and issue contract documents and amendments.
Maintain accurate tracking records for each contract.
Perform contract close-out actions, and coordinate subcontracts and related compliance paperwork.
Follow company’s collection process to manage overdue payments.
.Requirements Key Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, data entry, and account reconciliation.
Experience in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), billing, invoice processing, contract administration, and collections.
Ability to work both in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements:
Minimum of three years' experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar position within the Utilities/Infrastructure industry.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
