Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage financial records and ensure accurate accounting practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in various accounting software and a solid understanding of GAAP principles, with experience in both corporate and non-profit accounting environments. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our clients through precise bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Duties

Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.

Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.

Prepare and record journal entries, including debits & credits, to reflect all financial transactions.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.

Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting activities regularly.

Assist with payroll processing and tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Generate detailed financial reports, including financial statement writing and account analysis.

Support budgeting processes by providing accurate financial data for planning purposes.

Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and maintain double-entry bookkeeping practices.

Perform 10 key typing tasks for data entry accuracy and efficiency.

Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.

Qualifications

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, governmental accounting, public accounting, and nonprofit accounting principles.

Demonstrated expertise in account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management.

Familiarity with financial concepts including double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and financial report writing.

Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and tax preparation is preferred.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to perform 10 key typing accurately under time constraints.

Strong analytical skills for account analysis and budget management.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external auditors.

This position is integral to maintaining the integrity of client financial operations while supporting organizational growth through accurate bookkeeping practices.
