Description We are in search of an Attorney/Lawyer to join our team located in Concord, California. The primary focus of this role includes providing free civil legal services across various fields such as elder abuse, eviction defense, family law, and general civil services. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to our mission of serving the community and is a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Draft a variety of legal documents such as pleadings, complaints, and discovery Conduct client intake and manage client relationships Perform comprehensive legal research to support case preparation Draft various forms of correspondence to communicate legal matters effectively Utilize civil litigation skills to represent clients in court Apply knowledge in elder law to handle cases of elder abuse in the community Use skills in consumer protection and landlord-tenant disputes to handle eviction defense cases Employ legal writing skills to prepare clear and effective legal documents Conduct legal research to stay updated on current laws and regulations Serve the community by providing legal services aligned with our mission. Requirements Possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Must be admitted to practice law in the state Familiarity with Civil Litigation and Civil Litigation Experience Experience or knowledge in Elder Law and Consumer Protection would be beneficial Expertise in handling Landlord Tenant Disputes and Eviction cases is desirable Excellent Legal Writing and Legal Research skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Strong interpersonal skills for client interactions Should be able to work independently as well as part of a team Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach for new legal issues Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
