Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager – Space Programs to join our Supply Chain team in El Segundo, CA .The selected candidate will have responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements. They will drive supplier performance improvement, review supplier performance to contractual obligations and monitor continuous improvement efforts, as well as lead a team of procurement agents. Additionally, they will be responsible for negotiating terms and conditions, pricing and schedule information with suppliers.We are committed to providing our team equal opportunity for growth in a stable work environment. Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.

Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity.

Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

Acquires resources for projects and processes and leads process improvements.

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.

Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Work Shift : 1st shiftSecurity Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

More than 5 years’ experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes

More than 3 years of procurement experience directly related to Tier 1 Aerospace Industry in US Government Contracting (FAR/DFA/ITAR/EAR)

More than 3 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance

More than 3 years of experience leading supplier contract negotiations

Experience using Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Experience negotiating contracts, terms and conditions, and pricing

Experience managing supplier/vendors to deliver products and services

Experience in leadership, either formally or informally leading teams in a cross-functional environment

Experience communicating with senior managers and executives, customers (internal and external), business partners/suppliers/subcontractors, and government representatives

Travel: This position may require up to 25% travel.Relocation:This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
