DescriptionSAIC is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer on the Horizon Program to support to the US Space Force (USSF) in developing, deploying, and sustaining the Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program (GSSAP) within the Space Systems Command Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SSC/SZ) system program office. This position is located at a USSF facility in El Segundo, California where the system is developed and managed.Fun stuff on the job you will do:

Perform System Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) activities including requirement definition and decomposition, implementation, verification, and validation of advanced satellite and ground command and control (C2) systems

Analyze system requirements that define the technical baseline and verification of the technical baseline

Assess verification evidence for completeness and accuracy, and develop verification reports for USSF management

Lead and support Government/Contractor Working Group meetings—by creating briefings, leading discussion, and writing reports—to resolve risks, requirement gaps, and action items

Review proposed changes to the technical baseline for impacts to enterprise capabilities and to cross-stakeholder integration concerns

Serve as a Systems Engineering subject matter expert to assess technical issues and prepare briefings and reports to USSF management

QualificationsThis is you:

Bachelors and 2 years or more SEIT experience

Active TS/SCI clearance and be willing to consent to a polygraph examination

Experience with performing systems engineering on space and/or ground systems

Experience supporting technical programs throughout the engineering life cycle with emphasis in systems engineering and major DoD systems acquisitions

Experience to communicate technical information to team members, stakeholders, and decision makers with varying levels of technical expertise

Must have strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within an engineering team across multiple integrated program teams

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
