Job Title: Field MechanicJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mobile Mechanic to join our team. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, based in or around Alameda County. The role involves traveling around the Bay Area to service and repair commercial vehicles.Responsibilities
Service and repair commercial vehicles including sewer and storm cleaning vehicles, hydro vacuum excavators, street sweepers, bucket trucks, and three-quarter-ton trucks with trailers.
Diagnose and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
Conduct preventive maintenance and perform factory-recommended inspections.
Troubleshoot machine breakdowns using computer diagnostic equipment.
Inspect vehicles and equipment for wear, damage, or issues affecting performance and safety.
Essential Skills
Experience with repair, diagnostics, and maintenance of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Experience with low voltage electrical systems (up to 24V) and Can-Bus systems.
Familiarity with compressed air systems and fluid power applications.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years' experience with construction or heavy diesel equipment.
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
Possess a complete toolset required for service.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
Good communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers.
Strong attendance and punctuality record.

We provide uniforms, coveralls, and jackets, and offer an annual stipend for steel-toed boots. The work environment is dynamic and requires adaptability to handle various tasks and machinery.
