IT Product Specialist (Telecom Network Portal)

We are looking for

• The IT Operations Tools Team is responsible for overseeing Monitoring & Automation tools within clients.
• These responsibilities include planning, design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and operations.
• To help manage the company’s Telecommunications Network Infrastructure, the company uses the Telecom Network Portal (TNP) and Telecom Circuit Database (TCD, legacy application) as a centralized collection point for information related to the telecommunications circuits and facilities that we operate for our clients. Both the TNP and TCD are supported by our IT Operations Tools team.
• The TCD is currently undergoing an upgrade to the Telecommunications Network Portal (TNP).
• The TNP will support the client's mission to build the Energy Network of the future.
• The TNP shall provide a flexible, cost-efficient telecommunications circuit network management platform that will be a core circuit management component of the client's Energy Network.
• This technology platform must be capable of storing and managing all current and expected future types of telecommunication circuit network data for asset management, failure analysis, change impact analysis, design/modeling analysis, and situational awareness analysis.
• This position is for an IT Product Specialist responsible for providing daily support for the Telecom Network Portal (TNP) and Telecom Circuit Database (TCD).
• When the TCD replacement project is completed, the IT Product Specialist will continue as one of the Administrators responsible for supporting the TNP.

• Analyze the impact of Clearances, prepare circuits for updating, update circuits after a successfully completed Clearance, and report out to responsible parties for the Clearance.
• Review newly created and updated circuits for accuracy.
• Make corrections when needed.
• Add Approvers and Notifications lists to new circuits to create the base list for scheduled Clearances.
• Consult with Telecom Engineers on their projects and create paths for their circuits based on drawings, spreadsheets, word documents, etc.
• Work with Network Specialist in resolving transmission path issues.
• Provide support to Telecom Technicians to update circuits.
• Adapt new hardware terminologies, system, and service references after consulting with Product Managers.
• Support initiatives and new processes that add value.
• Perform daily health checks.
• Perform general maintenance.
• Support patching activities.
• Troubleshoot tools infrastructure.
• Support ENOC escalations for monitoring related incidents.

• The candidate should have the following minimal skills.
• at least 5 years of experience working in an Enterprise NOC / IT Operations environment.
• at least 5 years of experience in support and administration of Enterprise tools in a NOC / IT Operations environment.
• Expertise in supporting applications running on Linux and Windows systems.
• Expertise with Networks and Servers (Windows, Linux, Unix, AIX).
• Ability to understand technical drawings.
• Documentation skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Familiar with the Telecom Circuit Database.
• Previous experience working in ticket management systems such as BMC Remedy.
• Basic Knowledge of MS Access.
• at least 5 years of Experience with Discovery and Modelling with one or more products such as BMC Remedy/Atrium, ServiceNow, Micro Focus uCMDB/RTSM, Aperture, CA, Oracle MetaSolv, Cienna Blue Planet, or Comarch products is highly desirable.
