Position DescriptionAs part of the Ryder team, the Human Resources Coordinator will handle a variety of tasks in the Human Resources department.Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Intermediate level skills with MS Word such as including styles, mail merge, tabs, tables, columns and breaks, graphics, fields, headers and footers, working with margins, page orientation, and spelling/grammar

Intermediate level skills with MS Excel such as freezing/unfreezing panes, hiding/unhiding data, setting print titles and page breaks, linking workbooks, creating external links, re-directing links, customizing toolbars and menus, protecting a worksheet, filtering options, and chart formatting options

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of Human Resources strongly preferred

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and able to work with little supervision

Detail oriented with good follow-up practices and customer focus

Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized and to meet deadlines

Strict adherence to confidentiality and high ethical standards

Access helpful, familiarity with HR data systems a plus

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of this position include:

Supports company management in personnel and Human Resource administration

An effective resource for company policy, uses good judgment and professionalism to respond to BU payroll, benefits, and other employee issues - escalates employee issues/grievances to HRM as necessary

Thinks independently to organize activities, responsible for keeping priorities in order and meeting deadlines

Assists and coordinates annual wage survey data collection process

Prepare and track Exempt and Non-Exempt Requisitions for BU Management and liaison between Hiring Manager and Recruiter throughout the hiring process

Maintains updated job postings in at each location

Collection and follow-up on new employee all documents in the on-boarding packet, i.e. I-9 forms, Handbook and position specific documents

Organize and conduct new employee orientations, safety, benefits and diversity training, fostering a positive attitude toward Company and Co-workers

Support employees in their Annual Benefits Enrollment by conducting on-site meetings and assist Benefits Department by effectively distributing enrollment communications

Accurately process HR entry transactions (profiles) including new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, equity increases, etc. in a timely manner to ensure payroll accuracy and effective management of employee data

Responsible for timely and accurate payroll functions: oversight to ensure processing of weekly non-exempt payroll (including OT Reports), Driver payroll, Rental and Sales Commissions/Incentives, and manual payroll entries as needed

Payment of Union Dues/Union Pension/Union H and W in an accurate and timely manner

Employee System Access Control: ID and Password requests as well as troubleshooting employee system access problems

Responsible for tracking of Time Off (STD, LTD, and Workers Comp) and effective FMLA management. Provide information and support the gathering of data for third-party unemployment claim management

BU Team Lead for the Non-Exempt Common Review and Merit Process

Conducts Hourly Exit Interviews and sends to appropriate member of HR Management

Creates and maintains all BU Employee Personnel Files, responsible for ensuring DOL and OFCCP compliance

Maintains all Employee DOT Files to comply with DOT and Headquarters Compliance Department Regulations

Liaison between BU Management and the Compliance Department for timely and accurate processing of Drug/Alcohol Testing

Ensure all BU location Bulletin Boards are updated with Federal/State/EEO/Required posters

Create and Maintain Employee List and Testing Facilities/Clinics List
