Summary of Position:
This position works under the general supervision of the Casino CFO, but must be able to work independently. Responsible for the processing of accounts payable and timely payments of all vendor invoices. Resolve all questions concerning vendor invoices and payments as they arise. Maintain vendor files for all payments made to vendors. Assist in yearend processing of 1099’s and any other necessary documents. In addition, this position is responsible for various balance sheet account reconciliations as well as bank register tracking, and assisting the Casino CFO with any necessary tasks.
Responsibilities:
Pick up, drop off, and distribute internally all US mail delivered to the Casino’s PO Box
Prepare check vouchers to be approved for all payments made to vendors. Allocate invoice amounts to the correct location and department based on the expense account numbers in the chart of accounts for the Sage 100 accounting system.
Weekly processing of all checks and prepare for payment.
Stamp all invoices as paid and correctly file payment documentation in vendor files.
Maintain excel spreadsheets of various tracked information.
Reconciles various balance sheet accounts.
Enters daily Cash Receipts into Sage 100 accounting software.
Maintains accounting contract files.
Balance and maintain bank accounts as assigned.
Maintain all vendor files including end of the year storage.
Assist in the completion of all monthly financials.
Other duties as assigned by the CFO
Provides guidance to Revenue Audit as it pertains to general ledger posting
Assists with Revenue Audit as necessary; up to and including complete job functionality.
Assists with Payroll Data Entry as necessary
Qualifications
Must have 3 years on the job experience in an accounting related field; including, but not limited to Accounts Payable and General Ledger work experience.
Must exhibit attention to detail.
Must have the ability to self-monitor work.
Must have experience in computerized spreadsheet, word processing programs, and accounting software.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Working environment consists of various levels of smoke, noise, light, heat, and cold.
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
Must be able to operate in physically and mentally stressful conditions.
Must have the manual dexterity to use a computer keyboard, adding machine, and telephone.
