Shift: This role is 1st Shift, 5:30 AM-3:30 PMHourly Rate: $22.10 an hourPrimary duties and responsibilities (List each job duty or responsibility, which is critical to the successful performance of the job.)

Obtain work schedule, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.

Perform daily safety check of the assigned forklift in accordance with company policy.

Safely operate and supply palletizer with correct material needed for daily production.

Understand and operate a VMU for systematic inventory transactions

Perform cycle counts as needed

Complete related paperwork, lot tracking sheets, lot numbers and ID numbers , document pallet tag on Warehouse PPA/Tram sheet

Perform visual quality inspections and report any issues ASAP

Transport finished goods from production lines / palletizer to warehouse storage or staging area with a Forklift.

Load full pallets of finished goods onto trailers for shipping as required.

Change stretch wrap rolls, remove dunnage, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles.

Perform lifting techniques where needed

Safely stack, stretch wrap and secure pallets of material as needed.

Safely and securely stack up to 4 skids high

Inspect and stack empty pallets, remove broken or damaged pallets as required.

Perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork.

At end of shift, secure and maintain forklift, charge batteries and confer with next shift operators as required.

Respectfully and continuously communicate with team members, management, and other departments as needed

Leave work area neat, clean, and supplied for next shift

Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.

Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job.

Must be able to perform all job functions safely.

Must meet the company performance standards for the job.

Must participate in company orientation and training.

Must be able to follow instructions.

Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.

Must know how to use a calculator

Must have basic math skills.

Must complete the “Forklift Training” and obtain certification.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended period of time.

Must understand and adhere to the “Good Manufacturing Procedures.

Must complete “Lock-out / Tag-out training and certification

Must know SDS information regarding all materials used within the scope of the work.

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Physical:

Stand/walk 10 - 12 hours

Push/pull/lift 50 pounds occasionally

Must be able to ascend and descend stairs

Able to work in a cold and hot environment for extended periods of time

Standing, climbing, bending/twisting, pushing/pulling, reaching, walking, work in wet conditions

Education:

Must have earned a High School diploma or proof of GED.
