Job Title: Edge Banding Machine Operator
We are seeking a skilled Edge Banding Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves operating a machine that adheres laminate strips to the edges of desks, shelves, and other millwork products. CALL US AT (951)272-0321
Key Responsibilities:
Pour glue into the reservoir of banding machines.
Place stacks of veneer strips into feed chutes.
Adjust conveyor and trimming saws according to panel or top thickness and width.
Operate the machine to apply glue to edges, pull veneer strips onto edges, dry glue on heated plates, and trim strips flush.
Regulate belt speeds that convey stock through the machine.
Set and monitor temperature controls to heat drying plates correctly.
Brush glue on edges of panels or tops as needed.
Align stock and veneer strips and operate the ram to press veneer strips onto edges.
Perform edge trimming and sanding on finished panels.
Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance on the Edge Banding machine.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating an Edge Banding machine preferred.
Basic woodworking or millwork experience a plus.
Ability to read measurements and adjust machinery accordingly.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
