We're a growing, employee-owned business with a supportive, tight-knit office culture that values hard work, innovation, and a great sense of humor. We’re looking for a Framing Estimator to join our team and play a critical role in shaping our future.

If you're an estimator with experience in framing or have the drive and know-how to get into it, we want to hear from you!

Position Overview:

As a Framing Estimator, you'll be at the heart of our estimating process, preparing accurate and competitive bids for framing projects. You'll get to flex your analytical muscles by working with the latest industry software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Timberline, and OnScreen Takeoff) and ensure that every project we take on is priced right from the start. Your estimates will support our project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers in getting the job done on time and on budget. If you're detail-oriented, a problem-solver, and love collaborating with a team to make things happen, this role might be your perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine material and labor needs for framing projects. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using OnScreen Takeoff and PlanSwift. Develop accurate cost estimates using Timberline and Bluebeam to ensure competitive bids. Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing info and clarify project requirements. Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients. Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies between actual costs and estimates. Assist in contract negotiations and ensure all project budgets align with the original estimates. Stay current with market trends, material costs, labor rates, and new framing techniques to improve the estimating process. Ensure estimates align with United Production Framing’s standards and exceed client expectations.

Qualifications Experience:

2+ years of estimating experience in construction, framing, or related fields. Entry-level candidates with transferable experience are also encouraged to apply!

Software Proficiency:

Experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Timberline, and OnScreen Takeoff preferred (but we’re happy to train the right candidate).

Construction Knowledge:

Strong understanding of framing methods, materials, and industry best practices.Attention to Detail: You catch the small stuff and ensure accuracy in cost analysis and takeoffs.

Communication Skills:

You can explain complex numbers and ideas clearly to both the team and clients. Problem-Solving: You thrive when faced with discrepancies and can work through challenges quickly and efficiently.
