We’re a growing trucking company looking for a hands-on Fleet Manager to run maintenance, compliance, and fleet operations. If you know DOT/FMCSA rules, can manage mechanics/vendors, and keep trucks rolling safely and cost‑effectively — we want to talk.
What you’ll do:
-Own preventative maintenance and repairs to maximize uptime
-Manage fleet budget: repairs, parts, fuel, lease/purchase decisions
-Ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance (inspections, driver logs, vehicle records)
-Oversee telematics/fleet-tracking systems and act on data (fuel, driver behavior, utilization)
-Supervise/coordinate mechanics, vendors and shop work
-Lead safety programs, incident investigations, and corrective actions
-Coordinate vehicle acquisitions, registration/title, and disposals
-Produce regular fleet reports and KPIs for management
Must-have qualifications:
-5+ years fleet management or heavy-truck operations experience
-Strong working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and HOS rules
-Experience with telematics/TMS and Excel-based reporting
-Proven budget and vendor-management experience
-Excellent communication and leadership skills
-Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
Nice to have:
-ASE/manufacturer/fleet certifications or degree in Logistics/Business/Automotive Tech
