Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Contract Delivery Driver to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of automotive body parts to our clients. This role is crucial to our supply chain and requires a high level of dependability and customer service. This position is for two scheduled days per week, with no weekend work required, making it an excellent opportunity for someone seeking consistent, supplemental income.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a company-provided Ford F-150 pickup truck safely and efficiently.
Report to our La Verne warehouse to load, inspect, and secure automotive parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and other components, for delivery.
Execute deliveries along a pre-planned route with 4-6 stops in the Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas.
Represent APA Auto Parts in a professional and friendly manner during all customer interactions.
Occasionally collect check payments from clients and ensure their secure return to the office.
Maintain clear communication with the dispatch/warehouse team.
Required Qualifications
Must possess a valid California Driver's License and a clean driving record with no moving violations in the past three years. A recent DMV printout will be required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. as an independent contractor.
Must reside within a 30-minute commute of our warehouse in La Verne, CA.
Demonstrated reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently.
Ability to follow directions accurately and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
Physical ability to lift and handle automotive parts, potentially up to 50 lbs, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a significant plus.
Previous experience as a delivery driver, courier, or within the automotive parts industry is highly desirable.
