The Veteran Talent Engagement Coordinator will play a critical role in enhancing Allied Universal's military outreach efforts by partnering with internal teams and external organizations to support veteran recruitment and development. This position will collaborate with military bases, veteran job boards, government agencies, and private groups to build relationships and promote AUS as the premier employer for military talent. The Coordinator will also assist in planning recruitment events, creating development programs for veterans, and fostering a strong internal veteran community through mentorship and networking opportunities.This is a part-time opportunity, working 16-20 hours per week. Hours are flexible depending on available schedule.Pay: $20 per hourRESPONSIBILITIES:

Organize and manage veteran-focused networking events and mentorship programs, fostering a strong sense of community and providing support for veteran employees

Maintain active communication with Allied Universal's internal veteran community, ensuring their unique needs are understood and addressed through structured initiatives

Facilitate communication and relationship-building with military bases, veteran job boards, and other external partners, ensuring timely scheduling of meetings and efficient management of administrative tasks

Coordinate and support attendance at special military recruitment events, working closely with communication and marketing teams to promote AUS as the employer of choice for military talent

Collaborate with internal recruiting and HR teams to design and implement localized outreach efforts aimed at recruiting and hiring veterans effectively

Partner with government agencies, private organizations, and external job boards to enhance outreach efforts and identify opportunities to support veteran hiring initiatives

Partner with the Learning and Development team to create and maintain a veteran development program focused on skill-building, transition support, and readiness for advancement

Identify and promote clear career path opportunities for veterans within AUS, offering guidance and resources to facilitate their professional growth and success

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess one or more of the following:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, or related degree

Associate’s Degree in Business, Communications, or related degree with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a recruiting, human resources, or administrative related position

High School diploma or equivalent combined with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a recruiting, human resources, or administrative related position

Experience in a recruiting, human resources, or administrative related position

Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology

Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines

Professional, articulate, and able to use independent judgment and discretion

Outstanding oral and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization

Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Working knowledge of basic human resources and/or recruiting practices

A passion for helping the military and veteran community
