R&D OEM site located in Long Beach is seeking to hire an EV Charging Test Engineer. The ideal candidate will conducts testing (both static can dynamic), reports test results, performs issue analysis and research, data coordination and project management support for EV Interoperability Testing.

Supports the project team in establishing the preparation activities, test scope and adapts schedules and tasks accordingly. The Engineer performs vehicle instrumentation, performs updates to vehicles (hardware and software), diagnostic and EV-Station testing.

The projects involves passenger cars with the main focus on EVs.

Analysis of technical issues and test procedure of high voltage charging systems and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree with emphasis in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering MATLAB programming language 1+ R&D Engineering experience Summary: The main function of an electrical engineer is to design, develop, test or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. A typical electrical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.
