Multi-subject teachers to tutor part-time 25+ hours per week

California, Los angeles, 90001 Los angeles USA

Vacancy expired!

We are a small independent tutoring company founded by classroom teachers, with offices in Culver City and Manhattan Beach. We are hiring at BOTH LOCATIONS, part-time to start immediately, approx 25+ hours per week if you can cover at least two subjects. Potential for insurance and retirement plan benefits if you are willing to work 30 hours.

Hours Monday-Thursday

Culver City: approx 2-8pm

Manhattan Beach: approx 3:30-8:30, possibly start earlier Wednesdays when schools are out early

Both: May have opportunities this fall to add morning hours to serve homeschool/hybrid students

Plus everyone on the team puts in some remote work/meeting hours and occasional Saturdays

We serve 4th-12th graders, so this is for you if you are an experienced middle or high school teacher. You would be working collaboratively on a small, highly professional team including the owner/CEO. The hours are consistent and the environment is supportive. We work in-person at our centers in a dynamic group setting but with opportunity to do one-on-one and very small group instruction. There is a strong feeling of community and also a great chance to get to know students very well over a period of years.

We are currently hiring for:

English/History including AP level

Math esp Alg II, pre-calc, AP calc

Science including AP level

Spanish

To be considered for a phone interview:

Please send your resume and a short cover letter describing 1) your goals for your education career in the next 2-3 years and 2) an example of a time when you differentiated instruction for an individual student within a group, and whether you would do anything differently if you got to reteach that student in that moment.
