Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Associate Director - Human Resources Workers Comp and Leave in the non-profit industry. The role is based in Los Angeles, California, and requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional. The Associate Director will play a crucial role in managing various aspects of human resources, including Administration, Leave of Absence (LOA), and Workers' Compensation functions.Responsibilities: Supervise and train staff across Administration, LOA, and Workers' Compensation functions Manage the entire lifecycle of LOA programs, including documentation and compliance Oversee the Workers' Compensation process and participate in quarterly claim reviews Ensure compliance with annual OSHA reporting requirements Maintain accurate records for leave and workers' compensation Recommend new or revised policies and procedures Manage benefits premium collections for employees on LOA or Workers' Compensation Address employee inquiries and assist in resolving issues Interpret policies and procedures for both employees and managers Exhibit a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through inclusive service delivery, ongoing learning and development, and proactive bias mitigation Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the non-profit sector Proficient in utilizing ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now for HR functions Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, and HRMS Proficient in using About Time for time tracking and project management Strong understanding and experience in Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration Proven experience in ensuring Compliance within the HR department Excellent skills in Employee Relations management Must have a solid background in handling Workers Comp and Leave procedures Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is preferred Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
