He/She will work across multiple departments and teams under tight deadlines to deliver cloud-based solutions, often migrating from on-prem Medtronic Datalake to AWS, Streaming data from different sources into Snowflake/Red-Shift. The ideal candidate is expected to have practical experience designing and building solutions utilizing Snowflake, Kafka, AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Athena, Lambda, IAM, ECS delivering robust, scalable migration solutions on cloud.He should work with Medtronic technical(D&A) team to migrate their database environments to AWS. This may include, but is not limited to Re-Host database platform on AWS, Upgrade/Optimize for AWS, Re-Factor to open source database platform on AWS.Additionally should have demonstrated successful project experience with strong data experience in Database technologies, should be able to analyze on-premises database environments such as Oracle, SQL Server, or other Commercial DB Engines to Open Source Engines like RedShift.
- Understand the phases of the DataLake cloud migration and complexity is provides on interfaces, databases and application configurations
- Snowflake API Integration with downstream applications, Python Coding Experience.
- Understand the nature of testing in migration process
- Has experience in go-live strategies for cloud migrations Skills
- Managing timelines in an environment where everybody has a full schedule and priorities need to be set
- Should be familiar with Jira and works on agile environment
- AWS Certified Solution Architect certification is preferred for the ideal candidate
