You might be a good fit for this Accounting Specialist position if you can handle full-cycle billing, prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, and bank reconciliation. In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Maintain billings
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Produce journal entries and perform the month end close
Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations
Requirements - Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Knowledge of Billing System
Experience with month end closings
Deep understanding of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT
Billing experience
Foundational knowledge in journal entries
Experience with ERP systems
Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
