Transportation/Transit Planner IV

AECOM's Transit & Rail Major Projects & Programs Group is seeking a creative, highly talented and experienced mid-level Transportation/Transit Planner IV for immediate employment in AECOM's Los Angeles, CA Office.JOB SUMMARY:The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in transportation planning, with specialization in multimodal, transit and rail corridor planning. The best candidates will have experience with CEQA and NEPA environmental clearance of transit corridor projects. The best candidates will have an interdisciplinary background and be knowledgeable and versatile in transportation planning, transportation engineering, environmental planning, and urban planning/land use planning.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform a variety of transit planning studies, such as feasibility studies and alternatives analysesConduct research and prepare reports on land use, physical, social and economic issues.Provide professional planning assistance to clients on varied land use and transportation projects.Develop plans, studies, and analyses for transit projects.Support in the environmental analysis for a range of environmental resourcesPerform field inspections to gather dataWork with GIS and other planning software.Write and present formal and technical reports, working papers and correspondence.Assist with the preparation of proposals for company pursuits.
