We are an upscale Mediterranean restaurant in Downey known for our scratch kitchen, authentic recipes, and exceptional hospitality.
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef with at least 10 years in fine dining or high-end kitchens to join our leadership team.
The Sous Chef will be the right hand to the Executive Chef, managing daily operations, leading a large team, and running the kitchen when the Chef is away. This role requires exceptional culinary skill, leadership, and attention to detail.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years in upscale or fine dining restaurants
Proven leadership and team management experience
Strong foundation in scratch cooking and Mediterranean cuisine
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Commitment to quality, consistency, and professionalism
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations and staff performance
Maintain exceptional food quality and presentation standards
Assist with menu development, ordering, and cost control
Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff
Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations
