Café Stella, an iconic French bistro in Silver Lake, is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team. We’re known for our authentic French cuisine, intimate ambiance, and commitment to exceptional dining. As a Line Cook, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the high standards our guests expect.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to Café Stella’s recipes and standards.
Work across stations (grill, sauté, pantry) with precision and efficiency.
Ensure consistent dish presentation and maintain quality in taste and aesthetics.
Collaborate on seasonal menu development with the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and report shortages.
Assist with prep and production tasks, ensuring readiness for service.
Handle high-pressure situations gracefully during peak hours, ensuring timely service.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff for smooth operations.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience as a Line Cook in a fast-paced kitchen, with a preference for French cuisine.
Knowledgeable in cooking techniques and comfortable with kitchen equipment.
Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail.
Positive attitude, team-oriented, and strong communication skills.
Culinary school education is a plus but not required.
