Hiring Prep Cook – West LA
Sobuneh is a fast-growing breakfast and lunch concept in West Los Angeles, known for our quality, consistency, and care.
We’re looking for a reliable Prep Cook to join our kitchen team and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Prep Cook at Sobuneh, you’ll prepare ingredients for our daily service and make sure the kitchen is stocked, organized, and ready to go.
You’ll work closely with our cooks and leads to keep production moving efficiently while maintaining a clean, safe, and positive environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Write daily prep lists based on production sheets
Prepare and label ingredients accurately following recipes
Keep stations, walk-ins, and storage areas clean and organized
Stock and rotate deliveries
Communicate with cooks and leads to stay ahead of needs
Wash dishes and help clear the dishpit throughout the shift
Support kitchen cleanup and closing as needed
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
REQUIREMENTS
Reliability and punctuality are a must – showing up on time and ready to work is essential
Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Kitchen or prep experience preferred (not required)
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
Communicate clearly and respectfully with the team
Spanish speaking is a plus
