South Bay Family Medicine office is seeking to fill some Per Diem opportunities (1 -3 days/week).
Opportunity for Physician's Assistants / Nurse Practitioners (Family Practice or Urgent care experience a plus).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bilingual Spanish / Korean a plus.
State of California licensure as a Nurse Practitioner / Physician's Assistant.
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration Certification with current DEA registration number.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Examines patients to determine presence of disease utilizing physical examinations, lab reports, and medical history to ascertain the nature and extent of disease and prescribes treatments as necessary.
Establishes preventive health practices, performs pap smears, breast examinations as well as treatment plan for patients with chronic or ongoing medical issues.
Counsels for birth control and prescribes as appropriate. Reviews results of lab tests and diagnostic imaging and arrange appropriate follow-up.
Documents patient information in medical records according to MD protocols.
Conducts chart review and quality assurance activities.compliance with medical risk management and health care related regulations and policies.
Responds to calls from pharmacies regarding prescriptions and refills. Screen all patients for health maintenance needs, including immunizations. Educates patients in health promotion, disease prevention and birth control methods.
