Job Summary:

As an Auto Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicle issues. You will work on both domestic and foreign vehicles, perform routine maintenance, and handle more complex repairs. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in troubleshooting, and dedicated to providing top-notch service.

Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Diagnostics: Conduct thorough diagnostics using diagnostic tools and test drives to identify mechanical and electrical issues.

Repair & Maintenance: Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, air conditioning systems, electrical systems, and more. Carry out routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.

Parts Replacement: Replace worn or damaged parts, ensuring that components meet manufacturer specifications.

Customer Communication: Provide clear, professional explanations to customers about repairs needed, options, and timelines. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering quality work.

Quality Control: Test and inspect completed repairs to ensure vehicles are safe and meet high standards of performance.

Record Keeping: Document all services and repairs performed, including parts used, labor hours, and recommendations for future maintenance.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to shop safety protocols and industry standards, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience as an automotive mechanic (ASE Certification preferred but not required).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and familiarity with a wide range of vehicle systems.

Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to think critically when diagnosing vehicle issues.

Communication: Ability to clearly explain technical information to customers and teammates.

Physical Ability: Ability to work on vehicles, lift heavy equipment, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Skills:

ASE Certification(s) in various automotive systems (brakes, engine repair, etc.)

Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and OEM repair manuals

Familiarity with both domestic and foreign vehicles

Basic welding and fabrication skills

Strong attention to detail and time management
