Legal Assistant or Paralegal - Immigration Law

Seeking a Legal Assistant or Paralegal for a busy Immigration firm with a focus on removal defense. Prior experience is not necessary, but strongly preferred and will be taken into consideration to determine compensation. The ideal candidate MUST be bilingual (English and Spanish) - able to communicate fluently with clients on the telephone, through email, text message and competently translate documents (non-complex translations). Applicants should be ready to jump right into a heavy caseload with a good attitude. The ideal candidate will need to become familiar with the various relief applications that are filed with the Immigration Court, USCIS, and Department of State. This practice also includes criminal defense, including post-conviction relief, family law and probate matters - all of which are related to Immigration law. This is a fast-paced environment and all training will be on-the-job.
