Swiss Machine Shift Lead

2nd Shift – 4 x 10hr days
Monday thru Thursday – 1:30pm to Midnight
$27 to $33hr depending on experience. (+$500 monthly bonus when production numbers are reached)
Manufacturing supplier of custom, made to print, precision machined products. With over 60 years in the industry and a decades-long track record of delivering quality machined products on time is looking for a Swiss Machine Shift Lead to join their team in Chatsworth.
Summary: The Swiss Department Shift Lead oversees their assigned shift of Swiss Operators. This aspect of the role involves examining daily production efficiencies and solving problems to ensure production goals are met.
Responsibilities:
Host daily production meetings with the team.
Lead team in hitting production goals based on machine hour targets.
Setup Up Swiss Screw Machines to First Article approval.
Produce conforming parts per the blueprint and traveler instructions.
Assist in the progression of training and plan development of all machinists.
Ensure your shift production floor is clean and tidy.
Troubleshoot program with programmer.
Monitor and give direction to Swiss Operators during their shift.
Train operators in proper setup and operation techniques.
Communicate production status to shop Foreman.
Hit production and setup efficiency scores of at least 90%.
Regularly inspect your parts dimensionally and visually to confirm conformality.
Provide constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department.
Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Attend scheduled meetings and actively participates by providing meaningful input.
Responsible for data collection and input of the shift.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and regulation.
Management may add or remove job requirements at their discretion.
Qualifications:
Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily work assignments.
Prompt.
Positive attitude and the ability to work as a team.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documents.
Ability to use various inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, and comparators.
Advanced understanding of G-Code.
