HACLA is seeking an office assistant to join their team. This individual will work in the Application Department at their DTLA Wilshire location. This is a 6 month contract, pay is 18/hr, and candidates must be able to start immediately.
Office Assistant
Duties:
- Transcribe documents and maintain accurate records
- Assist with various clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and proofreading
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
- Provide support in organizing and coordinating office events and meetings
- Assist with application screening of applications applying for section 8
- Utilize Google Suite to create and update documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in an office environment
- Proficiency in using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for document management and collaboration
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
