Narcotics Canine Handler
Interquest Detection Canines is the largest private-sector canine detection company in California, and we are actively recruiting for the position of Narcotics Canine Handler.
Former Military and Law Enforcement personnel are encouraged to apply.
No prior K9 experience is required — but it is a big plus.
ABOUT THE POSITION
A large portion of our client base is High Schools and Middle Schools, so handlers must enjoy working around students and must pass an extensive background check, including fingerprinting.
This position is seasonal in nature, with slower periods during summer and winter/spring breaks, but we operate year-round. Searches occur 7 days a week, every day except Christmas Day.
Handlers are assigned a trained, non-aggressive canine (Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, etc.). Handlers will:

Interquest provides and pays for:
All dog food
All work equipment
All veterinary costs
All uniform shirts and jackets
A house check is required before employment (fenced yard, no aggressive dogs in the home).
WHAT HANDLERS DO
Maintain a monthly search calendar for an assigned client list
