Commercial truck mechanic (CITY OF INDUSTRY)
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle condition.
Maintain accurate vehicle records and adhere to DOT inspection procedures.
Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of shop equipment.
Track inventory supplies and verify orders as needed.
Provide after-hours road calls as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in diesel mechanics is preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, focusing on Heavy-duty trucks.
In-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
Proficiency in using diagnostic computers and equipment.
Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Willingness to travel, work flexible hours, and be on-call for emergencies.
Pay $30+ per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday: 7 am to 4 pm
