Hi, this Summer in June of 2024 we will be Shooting a low budget, non-union Feature Film from June 10th to June 22nd here in the greater Los Angeles area. Pre-Production has begun and we are currently looking to hire on our Wardrobe Supervisor for this Production.
The Film is a Horror Movie themed as a 1970’s Grindhouse Picture which follows a class of high school seniors who go on a group camping trip into the forest and inadvertently cross paths with a Coven of Witches who unleash a Horde of Zombies after them. Now a small group of heroes must band together and stop the Zombie Apocalypse before they are set loose upon the World
Shooting will last 11 Days (2 Weeks) and will be from Monday – Friday the first week and Monday – Saturday the second week. Each day will last 12 Hours with a mix of Indoor/Outdoor Shooting and Day/Night Shoots, however a heavy quantity of the Production ranging at about 90% will take place during the Daytime Outdoors. All Filming will take place in the greater Los Angeles area (Hollywood/Santa Monica/Burbank/Pasadena/Orange County/Santa Clarita/etc). Craft Service will be provided on set 24/7 along with a half-hour lunch break each day.
We are currently searching for our Wardrobe Supervisor who will be responsible for locating and/or possibility creating certain types of Wardrobe for each and every character in this Movie including any featured extras.
There are about 15-20 speaking Lead & Supporting roles and another 3-5 featured ones throughout this entire Film.
This movie takes place in Present Time.
Character Wise – This is a very wild Action/Horror/Fantasy themed Production with very elaborate/dressed up characters such as Witches, Serial Killers, Zombies, Police Officers, and all of our teenage characters have a very unique wardrobe/fashion vibe to them (Think Scooby Gang Style).
Character Types – Will range from literally anything such a women who wear Asian styled gowns, witches in ceremonial bras & loincloths and at times masks of animals, a Jason Voorhees type masked killer with his own unique mask and cloths, a character who is former Military who always has camouflage, a wannabe magician who dresses the part, etc.
Even though this movie takes place in present time we are going for an overall vintage look with most of our characters in terms of Wardrobe & Makeup giving off that classic 1970’s look since this is a Grindhouse Film.
This is a very heavy wardrobe Film which will take a lot of Prep and Wardrobe Scouting and will require having an amazing knowledge of the greater Los Angeles area and where to locate all of these items and more at the best rates.
If possible we may also need someone who is able to create some of the wardrobe if we cannot find what we are searching for or at least know where to go to get it made.
Job responsibilities on set will range from, monitoring all Wardrobe make/fix any problems such as torn clothing, wrinkled wardrobe, size adjustments, emergency wardrobe changes/runs, on set fittings, etc.
Must have all your own equipment (ironer & board/sewing kit/measuring tape/etc), be Los Angeles area based, be familiar with the greater Los Angeles area and know where to acquire all different types of wardrobe, have the appropriate amount of time available to work on this, and have a great onset attitude & work ethic.
For your time you will be paid the Day Rate of $400 ($4,400 Total).
